March 29, 2026. Portimão, Portugal. ZXMOTO 820RR-RS wins Race 1 and Race 2 — the first Chinese motorcycle brand to claim victory in the World Superbike era.
ZXMOTO entered the 2026 FIM World Supersport Championship as a complete unknown. Founded in April 2024 by Zhang Xue — former co-founder of KOVE — the brand had only competed in three races prior to Portimão.
On March 28–29, 2026, French rider Valentin Debise piloted the ZXMOTO 820RR-RS to a commanding double victory — winning Race 1 by 3.685 seconds and Race 2 by 0.5 seconds. In doing so, ZXMOTO became only the third brand in championship history to win a race on just its second race weekend, joining the legendary company of Ducati and Triumph.
The result placed ZXMOTO third in the manufacturers' standings — behind Ducati and Yamaha, but ahead of Triumph, Kawasaki, and Honda.
Partnered with Italy's legendary Evan Bros Racing — twice WorldSSP champion with Yamaha in 2019 and 2020 — for ZXMOTO's debut season.
French rider Valentin Debise delivered back-to-back victories at Portimão, etching his name in motorcycle racing history. A proven WorldSSP podium contender, Debise was hand-picked to lead ZXMOTO's championship assault.
Italian Federico Caricasulo brings championship experience to the ZXMOTO Evan Bros squad. A former WorldSSP podium finisher who knows the Evan Bros setup intimately from his title-challenging seasons.
The 820RR-RS is the highest expression of ZXMOTO engineering. 150hp from a 819cc triple-cylinder. Öhlins suspension, Brembo M50 calipers, Akrapovič titanium exhaust, and magnesium/carbon fibre components throughout.
